Easy 3d Lattice Frame

Okay, this is just a take off from the tile tutorial. But it looks neat.
Again, thank you to Nanson's Place for the inspiration!

You will need PSP 6 or 7 to do this tutorial.
Also this assumes a basic knowledge of the tools in PSP.and this gradient (or any gradient you want to work with)

Open the image you want to work with. This is the one I used.

Feel free to use it. At some point, I swear I'll write a tutorial for it!
Step 1
Set your background color to white, and go to image, add borders, 5, symmetric, click with the magic wand to select
the border. then image effects/texture effects/sculpture/ choose the gold preset, change the shininess to 67 and the height to 34. You can use Blade Pro or whatever you want for this step instead.
Step 2
Image, add borders this time set to 50. Layers/add new layer.
Step 3
Okay, here comes the not so tricky part. *grin* Double click the shape selection tool, enter in left 0, right= width of the image, top 0, bottom 50. Width of the image is in the top of the window.

Step 4
Switch the foreground color to the SKGold2 gradient, linear, invert unchecked, angle 0, repeats 0,and flood fill the selection.
Step 5
Then effects/texture effects/blinds and set it at width 10, opacity 100, color black, horizontal and light from left/top both checked. Click okay. Deselect.
Step 6
Layer/Duplicate Image/flip
Step 7
Then (because even though I'm working on a square image, I won't assume you are!), layers, add new layer, double click the shape selection tool again, this time set it
top 0, bottom= height of the image, left 0, right 50,
and flood fill with the gradient, this time, set to 90 degrees, everything else the same.

Apply blinds again, but this time, horizontal UNchecked. Deselect.
Set the blend mode on this layer to lighten, OH NO! EEEW! that is an ugly white bar isnt it!
We will fix that though. Honest.
Layers/duplicate, image mirror.

Okay! time to fix those ugly white sides! Go down the bottom layer, and click in the 50 pixel wide white border,
then go to colors/negative image.

Add another border, 5 pixels this time, click to select, and use the same gold sculpture on it you used before.

All done!
