Step 5

Use the shape selection tool again, this time to draw a small circle for the button.
Flood fill with red then apply innerbevel, set to the metallic preset.Layers, merge visible.

Step 6 (all these steps to the handle.. maybe I should have done it in selections?)

Set the draw tool to rectangle,vector checked, antialias checked. foreground black, background #808080, stroke set 1, fill set to linear
gradient, foreground/background, 90 degrees,repeats 1. Draw a small rectangle on the left hand side of the handle, and then another one on top of that one. Hold down the shift key and drag the right hand edge of that one out just a little bit so it looks like this.

Step 7 (whew.. Thank goodness for coffee!!)
Change the fill color to the saber gradient, and the stroke color to #C0C0C0 This time set for linear gradient, 0 degrees, no repeats, and draw a rectangle on both ends of the saber handle. Layers, merge visible,name this layer handle.

Okay.. then handle is done.
