My name is Shala Kerrigan, and I live in Anchorage, Alaska with my wonderful husband Mike Simbeck and my 2 children, one adult, one becoming an adult. I started this webpage in 1998 to share some of the beadwork patterns I was making with the people who went to Emily Hackbarth's chat. It's been one of the most rewarding things I've ever done and never fails to suprise me how much people seem to like it. I've always been a bit shy about showing off things I'm doing, and having them so well recieved is just wonderful!

I'm also the editor for beadwork at BellaOnline which is just a great site, by women, for women. I've always believed that a lot of my ideas came from somewhere outside myself, and I have almost a compulsive need to share the things I'm working out and doing and hoping they are helpful for other people, because of that, I started a crafting blog which I talk about my current projects in and occasionally post a crochet pattern or two in. After a while, I wound up starting a seperate blog that's mostly just printables called Don't Eat the Paste to go with my printables page. I bead, write, sew, crossstitch, crochet, knit badly, write bad poetry I try not to inflict on friends, read a lot, love playing in my graphics program to make webgraphics and printables. I'm an aspiring Craft Goddess, and I'm never done learning or trying.

Follow the links on the left hand side to find crochet patterns, bead patterns, bead graph paper, bread recipes and free printables. On the right hand side is my book store, and nothing goes in my bookstore without being something I really do love, and my Etsy store which holds e-books and template sets.

I hope you enjoy the site!
